Apps that behave native, from one codebase.

Customer apps, field apps and internal tools for iOS and Android, built with React Native and Expo. Offline-first where the signal is bad, push where it matters, and updates that ship without waiting for app review.

What it is

An app is worth building when a browser tab is not enough: when people need it on a site with no signal, when a notification has to reach them in the moment, when the camera, GPS or a barcode scanner is part of the job, or when the thing has to live on a home screen because it is used twenty times a day.

We build those apps once, for both platforms, in React Native with Expo. That is a deliberate choice. One codebase means one team, one backlog and one release, and the result still feels native because it uses native components, native navigation and native gestures. Where a feature needs it, we write native modules in Swift or Kotlin.

Behind the app sits a backend we also build or integrate: authentication, data, sync, files and the admin panel your team uses to see what the app is doing. We ship with monitoring from day one, so a crash on a customer's phone shows up on your dashboard before they write a one-star review.

What we build

  • Field and operations apps. Jobs, checklists, photos, signatures and forms captured on site, synced when the connection returns.
  • Customer apps. Orders, bookings, loyalty, support and account management on top of your existing systems.
  • Internal tools. Approvals, inventory, delivery, attendance and dashboards for teams that are not at a desk.
  • Backends and admin panels. Supabase or a custom API, with the web admin your office uses to manage what the app shows.
  • Push, deep links and OTA updates. The plumbing that makes an app useful after launch: notifications, links into specific screens, and fixes that ship in minutes.
  • Store publishing. App Store and Play Store accounts, listings, review handling and the release process documented for your team.

How it works

  1. Discover

We shadow the people who will use the app: where they are, what device they hold, how often the network drops, what they do today with paper, WhatsApp and spreadsheets. We agree the handful of flows that matter and the numbers that define success.

  2. Design

Screen flows, data model, sync strategy and the backend architecture, written and clickable. The scope and a fixed price for the first version are locked here.

  3. Build

A test build on your phones every week through TestFlight and internal testing tracks. Real data, real devices, real feedback, every Friday.

    3–5 weeks
  4. Ship and own

Store submission, monitoring, training and documentation. Then an optional retainer for new features, OS updates and iteration based on how people actually use it.

Typical deliverables

  • iOS and Android apps published under your developer accounts.
  • Backend, database and file storage in your cloud accounts, with an admin panel.
  • Push notifications, deep linking and over-the-air updates configured and documented.
  • Crash and performance monitoring with alerts to your team.
  • Source repository, CI pipeline for builds, and a release runbook.
  • Onboarding guide for the people using the app and the people administering it.

Who it is for

  • Operations with teams on the road, on site or on the shop floor.
  • Businesses whose customers interact often enough to want an icon on their phone.
  • Companies replacing a paper or WhatsApp process with something that records and reports.
  • Products that need the camera, location, scanning or offline storage.
  • An idea that is better tested as a responsive website first. We will say so, and build that instead.
  • Games and heavy 3D or AR experiences; that is a different kind of studio.

Questions

What people askbefore an app build.

Why not two native apps?

Two native codebases cost roughly twice as much to build and maintain, and most business apps do not need what native-only buys you. React Native uses the platform's own components, so it looks and feels native. When a feature truly needs it, we write that piece natively and keep the rest shared.

Does it work without internet?

If the job needs it, yes. We design the data model for offline use from the start: the app stores work locally, queues changes and syncs them when the connection returns, with clear rules for conflicts. Bolting offline on later is painful, so we decide this in Design.

How long until it is in the stores?

A first version is usually in TestFlight and internal testing within three to five weeks of kickoff. Store review adds a few days. We handle submission and the back-and-forth with Apple and Google.

Can we push a fix without a new store release?

Yes, for anything in the JavaScript layer, which is most of the app. Over-the-air updates through Expo ship in minutes. Changes to native code still go through the stores.

Who owns the app and the accounts?

You do. The developer accounts, the repository, the backend and the monitoring are all created in your name. We work inside them and remove ourselves whenever you ask.

Not sure an app is the answer? Start with the workflow.

Often the win is automating the process behind the screen first. We will tell you which it is on the first call.
